Dependents or Other?

Great news!

Stop asking if your relative or best friend, if you can claim one of their childern.

The IRS now allows taxpayers to claim Other Dependents.

Other dependents are people who do not have to be related, that you take care of for more than half the tax year. Parents and Grandparents now can be dependents not just exemptions or AGI adjusted due to the age of the parent.

So for 2018 it's a great tax season for those who take care of others.
